Infosys Ltd.(up 1.57 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(up 1.53 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 0.72 per cent), L&T Technology Services Ltd.(up 0.52 per cent) and Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 0.13 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Persistent Systems Ltd.(down 1.86 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.56 per cent), MphasiS Ltd.(down 0.34 per cent) and LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 0.07 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 0.57 per cent at 34943.7 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 222.9 points at 22346.55, while the BSE Sensex was up 743.7 points at 73740.01.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 45 were trading in the green, while 5 were in the red. Shares of IDFC First Bank, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NHPC and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Dynacons Sys, Onelife Capital, Century Texttiles, JTEKT India and Wonder Fibromats hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Marshall Machines, Sanco Industries, SVP Global, SAB Events & Governa and FutureLifestyleFash hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
