Stock market LIVE updates today, Monday, July 1: After starting on a muted note, Indian benchmark indices were trading with decent uptick on Monday. The BSE Sensex was up 200 points at 79,200 levels, while the Nifty50 was holding above the 24,050-mark.
Maruti, JSW Steel, Bharti Airtel, Tata Steel, Ultratech Cement, Nestle India and Mahindra and Mahindra trading with slight gains on Sensex, whereas Kotak Bank, Asian Paints, Titan, Powergrid and NTPC remained the top losers.
On Nifty 50 Bajaj Auto and Hero MotoCorp were among the top five leaders while Apollo Hospitals, L&T and HDFC Life among others led the losses.
Broader indices performed better than benchmarks this morning, with the MidCap index rising 0.7 and the SmallCap index 1.2 per cent.
Among sectoral indices, the Nifty PSU Bank, and Realty indices were the only indices in the negative zone.
