Punjab National Bank(up 3.23 per cent), Bank of Baroda(up 2.67 per cent), IDFC First Bank Ltd.(up 2.36 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 1.77 per cent) and State Bank of India(up 1.07 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.43 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.21 per cent), Bandhan Bank Ltd.(down 0.08 per cent) and Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.06 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.97 per cent at 51737.95 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 16.0 points at 24419.5, while the BSE Sensex was up 26.11 points at 80108.09.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, Piramal Pharma, JP Power, YES Bank and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of CARE Ratings, Piramal Pharma, EPACK Durables, The Investment Trust of India and ABM International hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Rossell India, Goldstone Tech, Vinny Overseas, Kamdhenu Ventures and Lancor Holdings hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
