Oracle Car Finance, a UK-based financier specialising in high-end vehicles, has raised over £50,000 for Martin House Children’s Hospice. The funds were generated through a combination of internal fundraising efforts and a public event held at The Motorist on Bank Holiday Monday, 26 August.
The Knaresborough-based company has supported the Wetherby charity for the past two years and confirmed the continuation of their corporate partnership for a third consecutive year. The fundraising event marked the beginning of this extended partnership.
At the event, Oracle Car Finance attracted thousands of car enthusiasts to The Motorist, showcasing a range of high-end supercars, including an unrestored 1989 Porsche 930 Turbo, a Ferrari F8, a Mercedes 300SL, and a McLaren 600LT. These vehicles exemplify the types of cars financed by Oracle. “Marty,” the Martin House mascot, was also in attendance, helping raise awareness of the hospice’s work providing care for children and young people with life-limiting illnesses across Yorkshire.
Peter Brook, Managing Director and Founder of Oracle Car Finance, highlighted the importance of supporting Martin House: “Martin House Children’s Hospice supports families in the local community, and we are in awe of the work that they do and the extent of the positive impact they have in Yorkshire. The team at Oracle have all come together over the last two years to creatively fundraise, with such fantastic results.”
He added, “This event has now taken our fundraising total over £50,000, which I’m proud to say is due to the dedication of our staff. We wish to thank all in attendance and the numerous Porsche Club GB members supporting the event.”
Hannah Finan, Partnerships Executive at Martin House Children’s Hospice, expressed the significance of events like Supercar Monday: “Martin House only receives 1% of funding to support our children and families from across Yorkshire, so events like Supercar Monday with Oracle Finance are vital for us to keep our services going. Without these kinds of events, Martin House would not survive.”
