Three temporary art galleries are opening in the City of London, right next to Bank tube station.
Housed on the ground floor of the postmodern No.1 Poultry, the galleries are being operated by the arts charity Hypha Studios, supported by the Cheapside Business Alliance.
Over the year, they plan to put on 24 exhibitions in the three galleries, starting later this month and running until next September.
Galleries 1 and 3 will showcase a range of work from contemporary artists and curators. In partnership with art and architecture platform recessed.space, Gallery 2 will present a series of exhibitions that relate to the living environment.
The first three exhibitions will be free to visit and open to the public on Thursday 25th September 2025.
Opening hours and exhibition dates vary quite a bit, although for the opening exhibitions, if you visit Thursday to Saturday between 12pm to 6pm you can be certain to visit all three at the same time.
The galleries are taking over the three ground-floor rooms as part of a meanwhile use programme during a refurbishment of the building’s interior to reduce its energy consumption.
